Tom Yam Goong is made with river prawns as the main ingredient and followed by other essential ingredients, such as chili, lemongrass, lime juice and kaffir lime leaves. These ingredients do not only give a wonderful taste, but also offer healthy properties. 3. Nasi Lemak – @lemonpiy


Nasi Lemak is a popular dish in Malaysia. This fragrant rice infused with coconut milk and pandan leaf can be found in neighboring countries like Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. It is customarily served with fresh cucumber slices, fried anchovies, hard-boiled egg, hot spicy sauce (sambal), beef rendang/fried chicken and roasted peanuts. Pho is a popular street food in Vietnam, consisting of rice noodles, spiced meat-based broth and meat, either with beef (Pho Bo) or chicken (Pho Ga). Bean sprouts, cilantro, chili peppers, green onions, lime wedges, Thai basil and white onions are the garnished ingredients of the dish. The duck meat is eaten with spring onion, cucumber and sweet bean sauce with pancakes rolled around the fillings. No need to explain the taste right? Adobo is a popular dish and cooking process in Philippines in which typically chicken or pork is slowly cooked in bay leaves, black peppercorns, crushed garlic, soy sauce and vinegar. It has relatively long-shelf life due to its primary ingredient, vinegar, which inhibits the growth of bacteria. Biryani is a South-Asian mixed rice dish made with rice, spices, vegetables, sometimes egg and meat (beef, chicken, fish, mutton or prawn). Depending on the popularity and availability of condiments, there are so many different varieties of Biryani in the Indian subcontinent. Even, on the outside of the Indian subcontinent, for example in Myanmar, it is called ‘Danpauk’, Indonesia with ‘Nasi Kebuli’, Malaysia and Singapore have Nasi ‘Briyani’ and Philippines with ‘Nasing Biringyi’. In Indonesia, this is called ‘Nasi Goreng’. A stir fried rice cooked in a small amount of cooking oil, typically flavored with chili, garlic, pepper, salt, shallot, and sweet soy sauce (kecap manis) and accompanied by other ingredients, particularly egg, chicken, crackers, meatballs, pickles and prawn. It is also popular in other countries, such as Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore.
