Not sure how to pose on our wedding day? We have you covered. These photos are only going to happen once so you need to make sure that your wedding poses are foolproof. We can guarantee that reading this article will avoid any disappointment from your wedding photos, so here are our top 10 tried and tested poses for your wedding photos.
Act Natural

First and foremost, the easiest option by far; act natural and don’t actually pose. For example, walk towards the photographer and let them do all the work! They can capture incredible candid photos of natural moments between you and your partner. In my opinion, its the best solution for a simple yet effective photo
Give them a twirl

Another super fun, simple and effective pose. Whilst you may not class this as a pose, it creates a romantic and genuine photo. Spin on the spot whilst your husband admires you in your dress. Not only will you be able to capture an incredible photo of your dress but also the romantic connection between you and your partner.
stare into each others eyes

A perfect pose to capture a passionate moment between you and your partner. Although it may seem cringey, it is quite easy to pull off. We love the way that the photographer has positioned the veil to add movement and texture to the photo, we definitely recommend taking inspiration from this.
sweep her off her feet

For this wedding pose, grooms quite literally need to sweep their brides off their feet! Photographers will be able to capture pure emotion and expressions from the photo, making it a foolproof pose for your wedding photos
almost but not quite kissing

We love this pose because it captures a really special moment between the bride and groom. Ask the photographer to shoot from different angles to give you a wide variety of images. Up close images work especially well this with pose.
the dip

A classic pose for any couple, and this is why it’s in our top 10 tried and tested poses for your wedding photos. Lift one leg and lean back whilst your partner supports you. This pose is simple and fun yet sensual and definitely creates an unforgettable wedding photo.
peek over the shoulder

In addition to the other poses, this pose creates a gorgeous portrait with the main focus on the bride. The pose can be moving or still as long as the bride looks back at the camera. We suggest a moving pose like the photo above to add natural movement to your wedding photo.
kiss on the forehead

This is another great pose to show affection and love. Most grooms are taller than their bride so this pose works extremely well as its super natural. However, if this is not the case in your couple then we recommend opting for an alternative pose as it may look a bit uncomfortable and tricky to pull off!
‘stacked’ pose

A ‘stacked’ pose is when the groom stands behind the bride with his arms around her waist. On the other hand, the bride and groom could swap positions with the bride draping her arms over his shoulders of waist. Either way, there is no doubt that this pose works well as it is easy to recreate and photographers can easily capture the photo from multiple angles.
The lift

This doesn’t have to be an extravagant lift that you need to practice in advance! In can simply be a lift as shown in the photo above. We love this pose as it creates a contrast in heights and really shows the affection between the bride and groom.
Most importantly, make sure you relax when taking your wedding photos as tension and awkwardness is easy to spot.
